Here is a bit about Chosen:

Everything Emma Thompson owns fits in a suitcase she moves from one roach infested motel to another. She and Jake, her five year old son who can see the future, are running from the men intent on taking him. Emma will do anything to protect him even when it means accepting the help of a stranger named Will. Jake insists she needs Will, but Emma’s never needed help before. And even though she’s learned to trust her son, it doesn’t mean she trusts Will.

Mercenary Will Davenport lives in the moment. Hauling Emma to South Dakota should have been an easy job, but his employer neglected to tell him about Emma’s freaky son and the gunmen hot on her trail. Instinct tells him this job is trouble, but nothing can prepare him for Jake’s proclamation that Will is The Chosen One. Who must protect Emma from the men hunting her power. A power she doesn’t know she has.

Self-Publishing Success Story~Darcie Chan

Environmental legislation lawyer Darcie Chan has sold more than 400,000 copies of her indie debut novel, The Mill River Recluse. It is described as, "a story of triumph over tragedy, one that reminds us of the value of friendship and the ability of love to come from the most unexpected of places."

Darcie tried the traditional route and after rejection from a dozen publishers and over 100 literary agents, she turned to eBook publishing. But she didn't just sit back and hope it sold well, she worked hard and paid attention to the market. When she saw that others had success selling at .99 cents she dropped her novel to that price, and her sales immediately started to pick up.

But Darcie didn't stop there. She invested in smart marketing and got the attention a new author so desperately needs by hard work and careful planning. Here is bit about The Mill River Recluse:

Disfigured by the blow of an abusive husband, and suffering her entire life with severe social anxiety disorder, the widow Mary McAllister spends almost sixty years secluded in a white marble mansion overlooking the town of Mill River, Vermont. Her links to the outside world are few: the mail, the media, an elderly priest with a guilty habit of pilfering spoons, and a bedroom window with a view of the town below.

Most longtime residents of Mill River consider the marble house and its occupant peculiar, though insignificant, fixtures. An arsonist, a covetous nurse, and the endearing village idiot are among the few who have ever seen Mary. Newcomers to Mill River--a police officer and his daughter and a new fourth grade teacher--are also curious about the reclusive old woman. But only Father Michael O'Brien knows Mary and the secret she keeps--one that, once revealed, will change all of their lives forever.

Hunted by Denise Grover Swank Hits #1 On Amazon

Congratulations to Denise Grover Swank are in big order tonight. Her novel Hunted, sequel to the outstanding Chosen, has just hit #1 on Amazon's Best Selling New And Future Releases in Romantic Suspense! If you haven't had the pleasure of reading her books yet, the incentive doesn't get much better than that. I haven't had the pleasure of reading Hunted yet but I've recently finished Chosen and I loved it so much that the only thing holding me back from buying Hunted, is my family-imposed ban on buying anything for myself until after the holidays. Suspense, action, danger, romance, Chosen had it all and according to sales and reviews, it looks like Hunted doesn't disappoint either.

Hurry and put these on your wish list, you won't be disappointed! While you're at it, pick up a few copies for the ladies on your holiday shopping list. Trust me, they'll love you for it.
